What can things tell us?
What stories do the authentic objects conceal? Stories about both tragedy and comedy perhaps? About immense fame and just as much loneliness? About love, wanderlust, and about clawing one’s way up? What do things say about us as people?
Explore the things and their story of how a boy born into abject poverty ended up being the world’s greatest fairy tale writer.
“The more you read Hans Christian Andersen’s stories, the more you marvel at how subtle he is. How wonderfully he works with the language, always getting the words to mean so incredibly much. In my opinion, without Andersen, our Danish language would neither look as it does, nor sound like it does.”
